You ever try to turn a rap song into a four-part jazz vocal harmony thing? Turns out it’s kinda hard. Game Over is one of those tracks that I felt was super overlooked in an already-overlooked soundtrack. It’s a really solid track, and I wanted to do something special with it. And then the arrangement took me like, two entire weeks, so...
lyrics
So tell me who you are, who you were
How much have you been paid?
Take it easy, R-E-L-A-X
Would you like to have something to drink? (ba-bum)
To tell you the truth, in this contract
I don’t care ‘bout anything else but me
I just want that cash (cha-ching!)
Transferred to my account (in my account)
Cause it will make me feel alright, feel alright
I’m busy, dizzy, lazy
I’ve got global eyes and a growing mind
Above all I’m wise, and very well organized
Make me a compromise
Watch me rise high for the last time,
See how this connection works?
Information goes back and forth,
(Sit beside the window and all I) do is watch the shadows grow
Longer, linger, for better, you’ll never know
What internal decadence means
He’s got opinions, and he’s posted suggestions,
But never reveals his name
Read by someone, taken as a good one
But nobody knows who had wrote it
Few lines of the sentences lie,
(Anonymity is) annoying me all the time
It’s like a 2-channel, where people just throw their own anger
And forget about those foul actions
You’re driving an expensive car, expectancy, supremacy
You’re out of control, the troll is waiting down below
You still lack in experience:
Too bad, too close, too late to notice where you are
(There’s no other way)
Dependency to the tendency, occasionally you misunderstood
Living a life of mediocrity, hypocrisy, legitimacy
Go over it or game over now, game over now!
Is this the place to shine?
(Say) Down with it or drown,
It’s your turn to throw the dice!

exists on the intersection of multiple genres: orchestral, jazz, rock, chiptune, electronic, ambient - it's sometimes intimate, sometimes grandiose, but always whimsical.
Thomas Ferkol blends orchestra with electronic influences to create a unique, haunting soundscape that is equal parts beautiful and inspiring. It's quite unlike anything else. One of my favourites. Catboss.
Bowman is a musician from Texas who produces very, very good indie rock, tinged with psychedelic and jazz influences. If that sounds like the sort of thing you'd like, don't give this a miss. Catboss.
